For the most part, women have moments in their lives where we feel insecure about something whether it’s our looks, capability to do something or in a relationship. Our insecurities stem from social media and what society tells us how we should look, however I am here to tell you that YOU are beautiful and are uniquely you. Below are 4 Ways to Deal With Insecurities.
1. Give Yourself Small Talks
Whatever it is that you see about yourself that you are insecure about, take a moment to say something positive about it and continue to repeat it over and over until your TRULY believe it. There’s nothing like reassurance from yourself.
2. Stop Comparing Yourself
A lot of us scroll through Instagram and we see these beautiful women who have thousands of followers and likes not realizing that it’s just Instagram and not everything we see on there is real and true. A lot of them do heavy photoshop on their photos or are just living a false life overall. Taking time away from social media is a good way to stop comparing yourself to others.
3. Do What You Do Best
Whenever we are doing something we do best, our confidence is amplified. For example, I love blogging, fashion and photography. Whenever I am talking about anything of them, I become the center of attention and my personality emerges because I know what I am talking about and love talking about it.
4. Accept All of Yourself
Accept who you are, flaws and all. Don’t hide them, but instead embrace them. Growing up, I had a small forehead (Well I still do, not that it went anywhere) and was made fun of because of it and would wear bangs to cover it up, now I full embrace the fact that my forehead is smaller than the average.
