Winter Hacks For Beautiful Skin

Tips to Keep Your Skin Hydrated

Cold weather does my skin dirty every year, and the older I get, the dryer my skin looks. Over the years, I have learned a few tricks to help my skin during the winter season.

Tip 1: Always wash your face everyday. I use AmorePacific Treatment Cleansing Foam face wash from Sephora twice a day. I can not say enough good things about this brand. I can tell a huge difference in my skin when I don’t use it, compared to when I am consistent with it.

If you are acne prone, I highly suggest the AmorePacific  Moisture Bound Sleeping Recovery Mask. Every time I start getting breakouts, I use the Sleeping Recovery Mask, and the acne is gone the next morning.

When washing your face, be sure to be gentle! Always tap your face dry with your towel, never rub. Growing up, I’ve always been told that tapping your skin dry will help avoid wrinkles. A great tip to live by.

Tip 2: Use a toner. Toners are my most recent discovery in skin care. I always thought toners was that extra unnecessary step in skin care, but man was I wrong. Toner is great to get the extra dirt or left over makeup off your face. You will be shocked how much left over dirty we leave on our faces, even after washing it.

After washing my face, I will take a cotton round and dap the toner on it, then lightly rubbing the toner on my face. You will be shocked when you see what your face wash might have missed!

(It goes without saying, but make sure you never sleep with your makeup on!)

Tip 3: ALWAYS MOISTURIZE. Whether your skin is dry, oily, or combination, applying face cream will help your skin, especially this winter. I have seen a huge difference in my skin, and how my makeup applies after applying my favorite face moisturizer. I apply in the morning, as well as before bed after washing my face. I have fallen in love with the Belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb.

Tip 4: Treat yourself to some nice hydrating face masks. Whether you use a sheet masks from the drug store, or a boujee mask from Sephora brands, your skin will thank you. I got into face masks by trying out a subscitpion box from FaceTory. There are different subscription packages one can get, but each month you pay for a box of face masks from various brands. I got my first box free, and I got 7 different face masks. I loved all of them, and it was something fun to do while doing homework. The masks lasts me for a very long time, I was even sent a pack of Farmacy face masks! Highly recomment trying if you enjoy trying different face masks.

Tip 5: Get yourself on Amazon, and treat yourself to a Jade Roller. I love putting my Jade roller in the freezer, and then rolling it on my face with a face mask on. It is said to help get the blood circulating in your face, as well as help with fine lines and wrinkles. I’m not sure what it is truly doing, but I know it feels like a mini facial and I obsessed. TJMAXX has been carrying a bunch of variations of them for less than $10 if you are intested!

Tip 6: Drink a lot of water! Keep your skin hydrated by drinking a lot of water through out the day! Water will leave your skin feeling great, as well as giving you more energy through out the day, which I know I could us.
